UK Event Medical Services Limited (or UKEMS) is a privately owned healthcare logistics business operating in South Yorkshire, specialising in patient transport. Formed in 2002, UKEMS started its journey by providing medical cover supporting local events.
As the company developed in the years that followed it branched out into other areas of healthcare transport including urgent care, medical repatriation, courier services, specialist care (transport for persons suffering from mental health illness), paramedic services to GP’s and external training services.
Led by our dedicated and highly experienced senior management team, with support from a highly-skilled operations and compliance team, UKEMS is the number one partner of choice to the NHS & private clients across the UK.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) ensures that all health and social services throughout the UK provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care. It regularly monitors, inspects and regulates these services, publishing the findings and including ratings. UKEMS is CQC registered. Our vision is to make healthcare better and we welcome the close inspection that CQC registration brings. UKEMS have effective governance systems in place to regularly check on the quality and safety of our services to continuously improve them for the benefit of our patients.
The CQC ensures that quality standards are being met and that safe, effective, compassionate and high-quality care is being provided. This is done by analysing and inspecting services and by collecting information to help them monitor how providers are performing.

Sam’s career in healthcare logistics began in 2003. He has since progressed working for a number of companies within the ambulance industry and was appointed a Director of UKEMS in the spring of 2018. Throughout his career, Sam has shown excellent organisational and communication skills and has a rounded knowledge of all business functions.
Craig qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1995 specialising in Emergency Nursing, leaving the NHS in 2007 following 4 years of managing an emergency department at DGH level. The move from the NHS was into the pre-hospital sector owning and managing a small independent ambulance company specialising in the provision of emergency services in support to NHS ambulance services. Craig joined the UKEMS business in the summer of 2017.
Mark joined the ambulance service aged 18 and was one of the pioneers of the direct entry paramedic scheme. He quickly rose through the ranks to driving and clinical assessor and ultimately Training and Development Manager.Mark has been at the forefront of the independent sector establishing and running a number of successful ambulance companies.
For the past 10 years Jeff has worked within healthcare logistics. He has a proven track record in managing frontline ambulance, PTS, medical courier and mental health transport services. Jeff joined UKEMS as a Director in the summer of 2017 and continues to help grow the business and ensure the brand is pivotal amongst its customers and competitors alike.
Jonathan has been CIMA qualified for over 10 years, working across various organisations and industries in this time. Jonathan’s remit is to get inside the numbers of UKEMS and drive the business make informed decisions on future plans and ideas.
